Andriod Cell Phones vs. iPhone

When the Internet and multimedia-enabled smartphone marketed by Apple Inc was released, over 4 million people bought the iPhone the first weekend and it sold out on all three carrier partners. Soon afterwards, the smartphone market has been flood with newer, faster, cooler cell phones. To date, there are really two OS that runs on these SmartPhones - iOS by Apple and Andriod by Google. Again with iPhones you have alot of proprietary software and are limited to models. With Andriod, you have at least a dozen models of phones per carrier with various features to suit your needs. Even thought Apple started first and may have the popular votes, Andriod is quickly gaining market share.

Prepaid/No Contract Wireless Services

As the economy gets worst, wireless phone companies find new ways to generate more income. Over the past few years, consumers have exprience modifications in their plans, added fees, and other tactics from wireless providers in an effort to increase profits. They spend millions on lobbyist to influence washington to pass bills in their favor. In what industry can you sign a contract, then go back and modify the terms of the contract without penalties? Out of frustration came the Pre Pay/No Contract Wireless world.

Prices are very competitive and if you don't like the service, you don't have to put up with it. There was some concern regarding the coverage of these pre-pay plans. But as of 2012 some of these services like StraightTalk use the SAME network as the major players - ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.
